CARE FOR THE WILD

DAVID SHEPHERD WILDLIFE FOUNDATION

The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation is a small charity with a big impact working to save critically endangered mammals in the wild. DSWF is flexible and non-bureaucratic, funding far reaching projects mainly in Africa and Asia.

GEORGE ADAMSON TRUST

RHINO RECOVERY

Rhino Recovery is a privately-funded voluntary organisation solely dedicated to raising funds to supply equipment to rhino conservation field projects (currently in Zimbabwe and Cameroon). Our robust ethical policy includes opposition to sport-hunting and international trade in wildlife products. No administration costs are taken from money raised by the public.

RHINOWATCH

Rhinowatch is a research organization founded in 1990 to census and monitor rhino populations in the wild. The main research thrust has been the development of non-invasive and cost-effective monitoring techniques, such as an award-winning spoor identification technique, which is also finding wider application for other endangered species.

SAVE THE RHINO INTERNATIONAL

Save the Rhino International is committed to ensuring the survival of the rhinoceros species in the wild. The charity works in close consultation with managers and communities in wildlife areas and provides direct support for rhino and community conservation projects in Africa and Asia.

SEBAKWE BLACK RHINO TRUST

The Sebakwe Black Rhino Trust is a registered charity which supports a 250,000 acre rhino conservancy in the Midlands area of Zimbabwe, where 57 black rhino are free to roam and are protected against poachers.

TUSK TRUST

Tusk Trust is a UK based wildlife charity founded in 1990, which has successfully initiated, funded, and operated a number of important conservation projects across Africa. While Tusk primarily supports the protection of endangered species, such as the Black Rhino, Elephant, Wild Dog, Cheetah, Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees, it also recognises that education, sustainable rural development, and support from local communities are all essential ingredients for the success of long-term conservation.

ZAMBEZI SOCIETY

The Zambezi Society is the ONLY conservation group devoted solely to looking after the Zambezi, the finest and wildest river in Africa. Its basin has many important ecosystems and habitats, and its wide diversity of species includes the black rhinoceros, elephant, cheetah, lion, leopard, crocodile, lechwe, over 600 bird species and a great diversity of trees and plants.
