Welcome

What is the UK Rhino Group?
The UK Rhino Group (UKRG) is an informal forum for the discussion of rhino conservation issues, which also undertakes some fundraising, publicity and lobbying activities. Our main concern is to disseminate information within the conservation community as widely and effectively as possible.
Our Aims and Objectives:
1) The protection and conservation of the five species of endangered rhinoceros throughout the world.
2) To increase public awareness and education about the decline of the rhinoceros and all available conservation measures.
3) To act as a pressure group that would lobby Government Ministries and other bodies to obtain funding and promote action for the conservation of the rhinoceros.
4) The organisation of joint major fundraising events on a national basis to raise money for rhino conservation.
5) The exchange of relevant information between all members of the group.
6) The attendance and participation by representatives of the Group at international conferences and the dissemination of reports and information back to each of the members.
7) To support the enforcement of international legislation, particularly CITES, relating to trade in rhinos and their products.
